The short version

Both products are pointed at the same broker problem: stopping clients from refinancing away. Stryd ships as an AFG-integrated retention engine — at-risk client signals delivered into the broker's existing workflow. TrailScope covers retention plus the full portfolio analytics surface (trail, upfront, clawback, forecasting, AI insights), and is aggregator-agnostic.

Where each fits

Choose Stryd if you're an AFG broker who wants retention signals dropped into your AFG workflow with no extra workspace — and you already have other tools for trail/clawback reconciliation.

Choose TrailScope if you want one workspace that covers retention and trail analytics, clawback exposure, forecasting and AI Q&A — and you write through more than one aggregator, or expect to.

Some brokerages run both: Stryd inside the AFG flow, TrailScope as the analytical layer across aggregators.

Integration overlap

Stryd's AFG integration delivers retention prompts in-product. TrailScope ingests the AFG Residential Lender Clawback Summary and the standard AFG trail export, plus equivalents from Connective Mercury, MyCRM and Salestrekker. If you're aggregator-agnostic, TrailScope's data layer is broader.

Data handling

Both keep data in Australia. TrailScope's AI features run on aggregate-only context (no PII goes to the model) and support bring-your-own-key for unlimited use. See Security for the architecture.

FAQ

Is Stryd only for AFG brokers?

Stryd has a headline partnership with AFG that puts it in front of ~4,300 AFG brokers. Other aggregator coverage varies — check Stryd's site for the current list.

Does TrailScope replace Stryd?

It can. TrailScope includes retention scoring, fixed-rate roll-off tracking and refinance risk alerts. If retention is your only need and you're on AFG, Stryd is well-fitted. If you want analytics and AI alongside retention, TrailScope covers more ground.

Can I run both?

Yes — many brokerages do during evaluation. They use the same upstream aggregator exports.

Does TrailScope auto-send reprice requests?

No. TrailScope flags retention risk and surfaces the talk-track context; the broker raises the reprice through the lender's normal channel.

Which is cheaper?

TrailScope's published entry price is A$15 per broker per month. Stryd's pricing varies by aggregator bundle — confirm against your specific arrangement.
